At today’s visit, Mr. McCart explained that he had lost power this morning in multiple areas around the house. This consisted of the master bedroom, kitchen lights, kitchen outlets, living room, upstairs bedrooms and outlets, and basement lights and outlet. With the issue going on, I step outside and visually inspected the meter and saw that it was not on. I explained to Mr. Mccant that with the meter not working he should reach out to Georgia Power as we cannot enter a meter base. As I was getting ready to leave, Georgia power arrived without notification from myself or Mr. Mccant to evaluate the issue. I provided an estimate for having the panel evaluated to check for any damage and Mr. Mccant stated he would have us back at a different time to look into the panel box.

Dispatch fee $39.00 Quoted installation of two new washer valves, found PRV to be faulty. Pressure is high. Unable to check pressure because water to the unit is off. Homeowner is looking for a few estimates. Unable to perform service today.

Pauline has provided me a walk through of the property. She has concerns with some faceplates miss and gfci’s. I have seen two plates missing the basement for toggle switches and one upstairs in one of the bedrooms. Install new plates for these three locations will not be charged with any of the electrical estimates I’ve provided today. The service mast is still holding firmly in place but it does look like some type of adhesive has been applied at the top of the boot . Perhaps moisture did penetrate through that point. I do advise the branches to be trimmed around the service wire. This can break in the future and bring down the service wire with it. The gfci’s I recommend adding area in the kitchen and bathroom downstairs. Currently two outlets are protected in the kitchen out of the four present. One down below in the basement bathroom also needs a Gfci , and the one below by the toilet should be replaced due to the extensive age of the device. The biggest concern I pointed out

Upon arrival customer stated that she had a toilet in her downstairs hall bathroom that when flushed it whistle and slowly drains down. I found that the water level in the back of the toilet was not as high as is used to be and that the whistle was coming from the fill valve internal diaphragm. I also noticed that some water was seeping into the bowl after the fill valve shut off meaning the flapper inside the toilet tank is beginning to fail as well. I gave the customer the option of just replacing those parts or replacing everything apart of the toilet take to make the toilet practically brand new. Customer stated that she would like to reach out to her home warranty company to see if this issue is covered under her policy. Customer was left with 2 estimates to fix this issue. Upon arrival, customer showed me their sink in a hallway restroom. It seem to be clogged with what seems to be Play-Doh and some sort of tissue on the P-trap customer informed me that her kids stuck something in there, and didn’t know what to do. I simply just took off the existing P-trap and dumped out The trash that was in there. I explain to her that putting Play-Doh in the drain is not good and to be a little bit. Safe off live wires remove hanging wires not in use hang outlets back on wall

Mr.Cole has a some switches in different locations that are a mystery to him. He has not been able to figure out what exactly they operate. The other issue is the garage apparently stopped in the middle of operation but didn’t trip the breaker. I’ve offered to troubleshoot for the switches but explained that it’s not 100% that they could all go to power something. He decided to go with the troubleshooting for two areas. I found that the devices were connected via backstabbed method. This method is likely to fail over time and can lead to arcing. This is why I have proposed an estimate to redevice the home. The switch in the kitchen was not making proper contact. The garage outlet I have also replaced to insure there’s proper connection in the outlet. The Gfci has also been replaced. At today’s visit, Georgia power came out and disconnected the overhead triplex. Once this was done, I reinstalled a new eye bolt to support the weight of the overhead triplex. Following this, I removed the broken weather head and installed a new once. The new weather head is mounted beneath the eve of the roof. The installation comes with a 1 year warranty from Keep Smiling Co.

At today’s service, a new 125A main electrical panel was installed in the garage replacing the old panel. The manufacturer is cutler hammer with the brand of BR. All new breakers were installed. All single pole circuits have Afci protection. The 20amp circuits also have gfci protection built into the breakers. Inside the panel box, a Whole home surge protector was installed. The manufacturer of this is Eaton. It is rated at 108kva of protection. The information for this protector was left inside the door of the main electrical panel. The grounding for the home has been updated by means of installing an additional ground rod outside by the meter and interconnecting this new rod with the original rod and the ground bus. Inside the home, the two existing detectors were replaced with combination carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. I arrived on the job and spoke with Mr. Lambert about what work he would like performed. After looking at the attic fan he would like replaced I took some photos and measurements. I then wrote up a price and presented it to him. Mr. Lambert will be reaching out if he decides to move forward with us after collected other estimates.

Arrived at customers home for quote on adding attic fan customer has attic that gets very hot in summer gave customer quote on attic fan and also made customer aware of other possible issues that needed addressed like smoke detectors and surge protector for all his electronics in home. Customer will look at quote and call in a couple days to see about installation.

Install new water line from meter to the inside of the garage with a new penetration. Run 30 feet of pex inside garage over head to reconnect to prv beside water heater. Insulate pex water line inside garage. Install new main ball valve for home. New water service comes with 5 year warranty.

I arrived on the job and spoke with Ms. Nicholas about what issues she’s been having. After she showed me the outlets that haven’t been working I wrote up a diagnostic fee to find the problem. I got to a certain point within the diagnostic when I needed to turn the power off to the circuit, when doing so I discovered faulty breakers within the panel. The handles flipped to the “off” position but failed to actually turn off. They then wouldn’t reset into a proper “on” position. I informed our client of the issue and showed her the extensive rust within the panel as well. She informed me that she would like me to come out on the 27th to perform the panel change. A deposit for the job was collected and will be performed on the requested day.

Technician performed tune up for upstairs hvac unit. Filter was replaced(12/20/1). Inducer and blower motor are pulling normal amperage. Blower wheel is clean. Furnace followed sequence of operations with no fault. Resident was concerned about a leak in one of the rooms. After further inspecting, determined leak is not from HVAC unit. Possible roof leak. Electrical Diagnostic: After Diagnosing the outage at 4905 Lakebrooke Run, Stone Mountain, GA 30087. I found an Electrical Panel with a Burnt Bus and Two Burnt Single Pole Switches. After discussing options with The Homeowners they chose to go ahead and change the Panel and Bring Up to Code. We are scheduled for March 12th at 8 A.M. to complete the Temporary Power Release and Light Switch Repairs. And on March 27th to begin the Panel and Bring Up To Code Project. $1000 Deposit Collected

Upon arrival, customer stated that his upstairs toilet was not flushing. It was flushing, pretty slow. I informed him that it probably be best to run a toilet auger to start with. He also informed me that a cover and his bidet, for some reason was missing one morning and it could’ve been stuck in the toilet, so I ran my toilet auger, one time and flushed the toilet and flushed great. Upon arrival I was shown to the kitchen where he just had new countertops installed. The person working on the job couldn’t finish what needed to be done. Need to hook back up the ptrap and run the supply lines from the shut off valve to the faucet. Turn everything on to test for leaks. Installed a new supply line for the hot side of the kitchen faucet. The cold line was already installed. Hooked back up the drain by cutting back the pvc and installed a st. 22nd bend fitting. Used all original parts that went to the previous sink drain. Tested for leaks by filling the sink on both sides twice. 1 year warranty on labor only.

Customer will need a quote for EV charger. I took a look at the house to see how we could get that circuit to the location that she wanted from the panel. Upon inspecting the panel, I quickly realized that it was a split bus panel by the brand Murray. This brand has been recalled due to it being considered a fire hazard. I inspected the panel an informed customer that we would be highly recommended to get it swapped out. Regardless if the panel gets changed or not the charger will come from The panel through the attic and back out to the front of the house where the charger will be located. $79 Sunday dispatch fee Upon arrival I was shown to the kitchen where the slip joint drain piping has come off. Need to take apart and make the joints a little longer so they don’t pop off again. Get everything put back together and fill the sink up to test for any leaks. Took apart to make everything sit in there better. Added a slip extension and cut up of the tail piece coming off of the basket strainer. Also replaced the p-trap for the drain.
