Upon arrival customer stated that he thought over the estimate and would like to get the repair done. Upon 2nd inspection I found that our first trip out here was a misdiagnosis. we thought the leak was coming from the main drain line in the crawlspace going to the septic tank but today we noticed that the shower drain was completely disconnected allowing every drop of water used in the shower to flow on the the ground in the crawlspace. I explained to the customer that I had found the leak and that our first trip was a misdiagnosis, adjusted the price and he agreed. Today I replaced 1ft of 2 inch pvc pipe and secured it with a 90° pvc fitting to the shower drain. Thank you for calling keepsmiling plumbing, electric, heating and cooling!

Had to bust cleanout cap out of 3 and 4” cleanout. We are not responsible for replacing these brass caps in the cast iron lines. Ran camera down 4” line and all the way outside house as far as we could. Found that the cast iron transitions to terracotta directly on the outside of the home. This line is clear as far as we ran the camera. Ran camera down 3” cleanout and found that bathroom in the basement had a soft tissue blockage and buildup in the cast iron. Ra;the flex shaft down multiple times and restored flow to the pipe. The cast iron may be in need of a repipe or pipe lining. No warranty on drain clearing. Thank you for choosing keep smiling.

Technician came out for no cooling call. Upon arrival, technician turned system on cooling. Indoor unit came on but the outdoor did not. After diagnostic check, found blown capacitor. After replacement capacitor, outside unit began normal operations. Refrigerant pressures are in normal range. Unit is now cooling. Informed resident that due to the age and type of refrigerant it has (R22), if it were ever to start leaking that we will not be able to charge this system and that it will be time for a system update. As of right now, technician did not notice any issues. Thank you for choosing Keep Smiling, have a great day!

Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had upstairs master shower. That was not getting pressure. After taking a look at the shower, I found that the homeowner has already taken off the face plate and cleaned up all the calcium off of it. The homeowner explained that he has tried everything that he knows how to do and does not know what is going on. I explained that I would like to check the pressure to make sure that the pressure isn’t the issue. I checked the pressure at the water heater and found that the pressure was 60 psi. I explain to the homeowner if that is perfect, and that it is probably calcium buildup on the showerhead where it screws onto the shower arm. I gave the homeowner an estimate for a $50 diagnostic fee to takeoff the showerhead and clean it out. The homeowner accepted. I took off the showerhead and found that there was a built up of calcium inside the showerhead. I cleaned it out and then reinstalled the showerhead and turned on the water and the shower is getting

At today’s visit, I spoke with Mrs. Bregman in regards to the mast bathroom exhaust fan not working as well as a gfci plug in the second floor hall bath being difficult to plug into. With this information, I built her and estimate to which she approved. Therefore, I installed a new bathroom exhaust fan rated at 70cfm’s. With this, the old exhaust fan was rectangular in shape and no longe r manufactured and therefore replacement parts were not available. Due to the rectangular shape, the new bath fans come in a square shape. There is a gap around the cover of the new bathfan that needs minor drywall repair. Mrs. Bregman was informed of this. Lastly, in the upstairs hall bath, I installed a new ivory gfci receptacle. All parts supplied and installed come with a 1 year warranty from Keep Smiling Co.

I was met on site by Mr. Jones. An appointment was scheduled with Keep Smiling because of a malfunctioned hose spigot. He brought me to the rear spigot to show me that the handle was missing and has a leak from the stem. The other side of the wall is a cellar with fully exposed copper pipes. I took a moment to inspect the water pressure. It was fairly low at approximately 45 psi. I confirmed that this is still technically within the safe operating range. When this was addressed, Mr. Jones commented that they’ve experienced annoyingly low pressure within the home. I explained that I can install a new pressure valve in order to help out with this. He agreed to look at a price for consideration. Mr. Jones also remembered that the front hose spigot is also malfunctioning. This one has a steady stream of water discharging from it. He couldn’t recall anything else with the home. I put together different options to choose from and went over each of them in detail. Mr. Jones agreed to have me

Issue: system isn’t cooling because outdoor unit isn’t operating due to a faulty dual run capacitor. House has 1 system. Furnace is gas Amana about 15 years old located in the attic. Replaced air filter 14x25x1 provided by customer. Found blower motor run capacitor weak reading 9.9 out of 12.5 mfd, this is putting more stress on the blower motor, suggested to replace capacitor. Found blower wheel dirty, suggested to pull it out and clean it. Condenser is 3 tons Goodman about 21 years old located backside of the house with R22 refrigerant. Found service broken, suggested to replace service disconnect. Found contactor pitted, suggested to replace contactor. Main reason for system not cooling is because outdoor unit isn’t operating due to a faulty dual run capacitor, suggested to replace dual run capacitor but explained customer that there is a chance that condenser fan motor and compressor might not come ON anymore because their windings might have gotten damaged by trying to operate wi

Bitty has a vent hood fan that has been giving them issues for about a week now. The light will come on and turn off with a dial switch. The fan also has a similar design but it wouldn’t shut off. I’ve told them we don’t install new ones or repair them. What I was able to do for them is to disconnect the wires to the vent hood fan internally. The light will still work and the circuit can still be on. Previously it would constantly run and the only way to shut it off was at the breaker.

I was met on site by Mr. Crowell. An appointment was scheduled with Keep Smiling in order to provide an estimate for installing two hose spigots onto the mobile home. There were no original spigots to begin with. I asked Mr. Crowell to show me his desired locations. I also inspected the water pressure. It was within the appropriate range. I took a glance under the mobile home to examine the working condition. I provided and went over an estimate with Mr. Crowell. He agreed to it, allowing me to move forward. I gathered the necessary material from a nearby Home Depot and performed the work. The best location I could find to tie into for both spigots was on the main line after the pressure valve. The original installation did not have a main shut off. I quickly cut and connected one without an extra charge. From there I tied in the necessary fittings and ran 1/2” white PEX pipe in the two directions. Both lines also have isolation shut offs added. I pressurized both lines and found no l

Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner was having issues with the upstairs hall bathroom toilet leaking into the laundry room underneath and having issues with the tub/shower draining really slow. He also brought me down to the basement to show me the cast-iron drains and showed me that they have started to drip every now and then in a couple of places. I explained that over the course of their lifespan they have hilltop rust on the inside and caused it to rust out causing leaks. I explained that he would have to have them replaced. I took a look at the toilet in the upstairs bathroom and did not see anything out of the blue so from there I was able to give the homeowner an estimate to pull and reset the hall bathroom, toilet, along with auguring out the Tub/shower. The homeowner accepted. I pulled the toilet and found that the flange was the old lead kind. I did not see any damages to it so I replaced the wax seal and set the toilet back with. No leaks. From there I snaked out the tub

Arrived at property. After talking with the homeowner, he explained that he would like me to replace the back hose bib due to it breaking off. After going downstairs and inspecting the hose bib, I found that I would have to cut the drywall in order to gain access to the piping in the wall,(we are not responsible for drywall), that way, I could cut the old pipe out and install the new hose bib. From there I was able to give me homeowner an estimate to do the work. He accepted. He wanted me to go upstairs after I was done with the hose bib and check the drains for the two upstairs bathrooms. I started by cutting out the existing hose bib and replacing it. Then I went upstairs to investigate the draining problems for the two bathrooms. We ran water in the hall bathroom for about 5 to 10 minutes to see if it will back up or give us any issues and it did not. We then went to the master bathroom to investigate those drains and when we turned on the shower about a minute of it being on the sh

Arrived at homeowners home. After talking with the homeowner, he explained that they had their upstairs hall bathroom bathtub replaced due to it being rusted and leaking. Now, two weeks later they are having issues with it leaking when it is used. They also explained that it is leaking tremendously more now than it was then. I explain to the homeowner that I would have to cut a hole in the ceiling underneath the bathtub to put eyes on the pipe and figure out exactly what is leaking. I explained that I would have to charge a diagnostic fee to do so. They accepted it. I explained that when I know what is the issue, I will be able to come to him with a final price, I cut a hole in the bedroom, closet closest to the front door and found that the P-trap has came disconnected from the waste and overflow meaning when it is used water is just being dumped into the ceiling instead of going into the drain system. Armando was a great technician and provided excellent service. Although he couldn’t repair the tub completely because I wasn’t able to pay, at least when he left, my faucet wasn’t running on full blast like it was when he came. It is still dripping because it is old, rusted and corroded and needs to be replaced. I can deal with that because it has been running continuously for at least 4 years.
