KSPEHC was called out for multiple plunging issues. On site tech was informed that the basement kitchen sink has a leak underneath it. There is also a drip in the basement ceiling and the upstairs hall toilet isn’t functioning correctly. After investigation tech was able to determine the cause of the leak underneath the basement kitchen sink as well as where the drip was coming from in the basement ceiling. Basket strainer on left side of the dual compartment sink is loose allowing water to get underneath and drip onto the cabinet base. The drain assembly for this sink is also against code and should be transitioned back to the proper piping arrangements. Tech provided options on repairs to the plumbing system. Homeowner authorized tech to make necessary repairs to the toilet in the upstairs hall bathroom. This toilet was also the cause of the dripping in the basement. The wax seal has failed allowing water to escape and travel down the outside of the stack and drip off at the bot

Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had toilet. That was still running after. I have been out twice and replace the fill valve. When I was out the first time, the homeowner mentioned that he had already replaced the flapper because that’s what he thought it was. After inspecting work, I carefully listened and heard water seeping through the flapper, and then the fill valve will kick back on to fill back up the toilet. I explain to the homeowner that the type of flapper that he use to replace it the rubber material will get bumps in it causing it to not seat right letting Water seep through. I swapped out the flapper and the water stop seeping through telling me that it was indeed the flapper. Thank you for choosing keep smiling Plumbing in electric, heating and cooling.
