KSPEHC was called out for an issue with the basement toilet. Homeowner stat the basement toilet drains slow and is connected to an ejector pump. Tech unplugged dual power cord and plugged in pump power only. Pump engaged and emptied the basin. As tech looked further he was able to see a soft tissue blockage causing the inlet pipe to the basin to be restricted from flow. Due to age of the pump tech suggested replacing the pump as a preventive measure. Tech also gave option to disconnect the pump and reposition it inside the basin to allow more room for the inlet pipe to flow without obstruction. Approval was given for tech to perform the pump repositioning instead of replacing the pump. After task was completed tech flushed several times so the pump would engage multiple times. No issues at this time

Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had fireplace that she thought she smelled gas so she wanted to get it. Checked out for a peace of mind. After talking with the homeowner she explained that her son came over about two years ago and it was cold so they decided to turn it on and when they had it on for about five minutes, she said she’s not a funny smell and turned it off. Now that it is getting cold she is wanting to make sure that it is in working order. After inspecting the fireplace, I made sure that the valve underneath the fireplace was turned on, allowing it to get gas. I explain to the homeowner that I would charge a diagnostic fee to inspect the fireplace. Homeowner accepted. I grabbed my gas detector and waved it around the fireplace when it was off and made sure that there was no gas. I turned on the fireplace and lit it and waited for about 10 minutes to make sure that there were no funny smells, and I was well. I explained to the homeowner that while I was here I would
