Job Locations and Reviews

Customer called us out for a couple issues in the home. A leaky shower valve in upstairs hallway and water spot in garage ceiling. No leaks detected in garage ceiling. No pt responsible for drywall repair. Estimate replace existing prv with a new watts pressure regulator valve. Estimate includes all labor and material. Existing prv gave a reading of 75 psi with an active leak in the home. This will correct the water pressure issue within the home. In addition we will be fixing the leak in the shower that is caused by high pressure. A new shower cartridge will be installed to stop the leak. Once a new cartridge is installed we will reinstall all trim and check for leaks and function. Replaced Prv and shower cartridge at home. No leaks after repairs and pressure is set to 60 psi. Thank you for choosing keep smiling

Mrs.Wingate wanted some chandeliers replaced in two different locations, and remove a broken bulb base in a can light. First fixture in the bathroom I was able to reuse the previous canopy from the old fixture. Fixtures hangs approximately 8ft from the ceiling. Customer provided three bulbs because the previous one that came installed were burnt out. I’ve also shown her how to replace them if ever needed in the future. The 6in can light is still working just fine. The broken base of the previous bulb was heavily corroded. The new bulb provided is not the same color and I’ve informed Mrs.Wingate about it. The other bulbs in the room are 3500k and the current one installed is 5000k. The fixture in the dining room I have place down in the basement as requested. Strongly advised two people carry it because of the weight. Approximately 65lbs. The new fixture installed in this location was missing screws that hold the canopy to the bracket. Luckily the screws I had match the same thread

Upon arrival, customer stated she had a hose bib that was leaking in her backyard. After further inspection, I noticed it was leaking due to old age. Customer with estimate to replace the spigot. Customer approved estimate. After shutting off the water to the home I cut the old pipe with valve which was CPVC piping. I installed a new hose bib and transitioned it to Pex piping. After repair was completed, I turned the water on to make sure my repair was free of leaks.

This includes cutting into sheet rock to find damage to pipe
Knowledgeable and timely service !!!

Came out to the Terry residence to diagnose why the kitchen outlets where not working upon diagnostic discovered there to be a dual function breaker afci/Gfci that had failed so the tech replaced it with a standard 20 amp breaker and since the outlets are by water (kitchen sink )also took the outlet out where power comes in and replaced it with a Gfci.(1 year warranty.)The breaker the tech repalced was labeled as kitchen outlets /dining room .Did discuss the benefits of a whole home surge but Mr.Terry declined at this time.

There is an unknown leak coming from the master shower area. Unable to determine where the leak is coming from without cutting some sheet rock to do further investigation. Once the leak is found will go over options to fix the leak. We do not repair the sheet rock. Cut the sheet rock behind the left hand shower valve. There is a pinhole right below the 90 fitting just before it turns into the shower valve. Need to replace he section of pipe that is leaking. Turn back on the water to test for anymore leaks. Cut and and removed leaking section of pipe. Unsoldered the 90 from the piece that goes into the valve. Used new 90 and slip coupling to make the repair. Turned water back on to test for leaks.
Good service

KSPEHC was called out for tankless issue. On arrival homeowner stated that tankless unit would work fine and then not at all. This issue has been going on for several months. She also stated the unit was throwing a code 10 and a code 12. Both of these codes reflect issues with fan venting and heat exchanger combustion. Tech mentioned with the age of the unit and the cost of repairs it may be more beneficial to replaces the unit to guarantee a full proof repair and also take advantage of a fresh manufacturers warranty. Homeowner needs to discuss options before making final decision
Grant did an outstanding job. He was very thorough with his explanations and walk through of the needs that we have in mind.
Great Service

At todays service, Mrs. Hawthorne was expericing an issue with the upstairs hallway detector beeping from an end of life cycle. They had pulled the detector down to get it to be quiet. Two options were presented to Mrs. Hawthorne as far as replacement of the unit. The first option was to simply replace the detector with a new one. The second option was to replace all the detectors with detectors that have built in batteries that do not need to be replaced for 10 years. Mrs. Hawthorne elected to have the one individual detector replaced with a detector with replaceable batteries. Therefore, the new detector has been installed. This detector will need to be replaced in 7 years as this is its end of life expectancy. It was recommended thst whole home surge protection be installed into the main electrical panel. A whole home surge protector protects everything within the home from surge. An estimate was sent over for this.

At today’s visit, Mr. And Mrs. Landis were looking to get estimates for various projects around the house consisting of having power added to a shed, a flood light installed, hot tub installed, and wiring added for a possible screened in porch. All of these were estimates and gone over with Mr. And Mrs. Landis. These estimates have been emailed.
.goof service

We came out on 7/17/24 to replace thermal expansion tank and master bath Delta valve cartridge. Now we’ve returned because master shower head is dripping again. Upon checking pressure found it to be 60 psi which is normal and thermal expansion tank is working properly with plenty of air pressure. Replaced valve cartridge under warranty to remedy issue. No charge under warranty.

Upon arrival, customer stated he needed more room inside of his utility closet and wanted one of the water heaters that are ran and series to be removed. Customer was left with estimate to remove the water heater.

On arrival to home found that home has never had a central heating and cooling system. Inspected crawlspace and attic to determine whether or not we could install a package unit and run ductwork in crawlspace or if a split system in attic would work best. Measured square footage of home and came up with approximately 1,056 sq ft. Recommend a 2.5 ton system. We will work up an estimate and email over. Thank you for choosing Keep Smiling. Have a blessed day.

Copper to cpvc connections under the kitchen and guest bathroom sinks, as well as the emergency stops are recommended to be changed. The cpvc on the water heater especially on the cold side, which is sagging with the expansion tank needs to be changed. Quotes have been given, and can be picked and chosen from

Upon arrival, customer claimed that she wanted her kitchen faucet replaced, with one she bought last week. I gave her an initial price to replace it. She thought it was a little too high so I brought it down to a price we both agreed on. After replacing the faucet and turning water on to test it, I felt the pressure being a little too high. So I brought it to her husband’s concern, after explaining to him high water pressure could do. I asked him to take me to his water heater so I can get an accurate result. The pressure at the water heater was at 85psi, which was a little too high for a three-year-old house. But I explained to him that you never know when this can go wrong. After giving him price and explaining what I’m going to do, he agreed on it and work was done today. Customer supplied kitchen faucet comes with a 6 month labor warranty only. Pressure reducing valve comes with a one year parts and labor warranty. THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING KEEP SMILING PLUMBING !!!

Arrived on the job and looked over what issues our client was having. After walking everything with the customer I wrote up a fair price for what was needing to be done. We agreed on a price and I got started. A short while later I finished up and the client was pleased.
