I arrived to the property in the customer previously discussed with me about wanting to replace a kitchen faucet, a faucet in a hall bathroom, and the shower trim set in that same bathroom. I supplied and installed two faucets, a shower, trim set, and replaced to shut off valves under the kitchen sink. I pressurized the system and tested for any leaks. There is a one year parts and labor warranty. I discussed with the customer some benefits about water filtration if they choose to proceed forward in the future. Upon arrival customer claimed she had a leak in her yard but did not know where it was. She called in to see if we could find the leak. First thing I did was ask her to take me to her main shut off in the home so I can isolate the water line in yard. And see if the leak is actually there. As soon as I went into the basement I heard a pretty loud hissing noise coming from where the water line enters the basement, that instantly indicated me the leak is right outside the wall about 3.5 feet down. After telling the customer this I gave her a couple options to fix her issue as low as just doing a repair to replacing the whole line. I made up 2 estimates and was more towards the new water line but her brother convinced her to go with the cheaper option right now. I made her sign the diagnostic fee estimate just for me to dig and try to find the leak hoping it was at that spot and if I did find it I would change price to the repair price and she would have to sign again. She agreed and fort
