Came out to the Riney residence to replace 7 battery’s in the smoke detectors throughout the house did advise him if the smoke alarms go off again it could be a faulty smoke detector and that will be additional.(no warranty .)
KSPEHC was called out for a possible leaking water heater. Once tech arrived and was able to look at water heater and surrounding area there was no water or signs of water heater leaking. Pressure reading on system is 70 psi. Thermal expansion tank is in working condition. The t&p relief valve is trapped and the bottomed section has a hall valve to relieve the excess water in the line. This ball valve was more than likely turned on accidentally which would explain the water at the base of the water heater. While tech was in site there was no other sign of a leak. It is also possible there could be a foundation issue for storm water. The tile on the floor near the walls had a rusty color of a clay stain coloring on them. At this time tech was unable to recreate a leak on the water heater. This unit is also still in the manufacture warranty period.
