Upon arrival, customer was standing outside next to two holes in his yard full of water. He said he had a leak and the water kept coming up where he was digging. He said that the hole that he had dug is only about 4 inches deep and the waterline is 18 inches deep, I told him that I could start to dig everything up for a diagnostic fee of one 188.75. He agreed. after digging all the way down to the waterline I found that the leak was coming 1 inch PVC tee I could see that the main trunk of the tee was going to the house, but I did not know where the cross-section was going. The customer explained to me that he had a well when he built this house and had teed in the well line to the city line when the city line got installed he told me that he would just like to cap off The well side of the tee And repair that section of pipe going to his home I gave the customer a price to fix this issue and also gave him the option of replacing the whole waterline. today would just like it to be repair

Auger 4 toilets so they flush properly. After preforming work only 2 toilet were able to be augered. The other 2 have so,etching in the toilet that will not go down the line. We will have to pull those two toilets and retrieve object out of them. To come out on Monday to pull toilet and run camera for inspection and to pull other toilet in pre K room to remove object so toilet flushes properly.

Upon arrival, customer showed me upstairs restroom where there was A slow draining laboratory sink. I informed the customer that we will need to sneak in to do a partial repipe on the drain due to everything being hard piped. She also told me that she wanted to get the upstairs restroom toilet replaced. After showing her the estimate for both of them, customer told me that it was too expensive. I would rather just do the snake today. She also informed me that we installed the toilet downstairs and that it was so wobbly. I told her I would look at it after I got the upstairs lab sink snaked. After sneaking the line, I typed it back up with tubular piping and check for any leaks. It was leak free. I then checked out the toilet that we put in over a year ago and saw that it was wobbly. I informed the customer that we need to pull it and inspect the flange because it seemed abnormal for the toilet to be moving like that. Upon arrival customer stated that there is a wet spot in the ceiling above the master shower. We went to the bathroom above the shower and looked for leaks but nothing was found. I told the customer that I can cut open the sheet rock to see what is the issue for a diagnostic fee and he agreed. After cutting open the sheet rock I found that there was nothing leaking from the drain line but I did see a wet spot near the vent we then went outside to see where the vent was located and found that it was right above where we are seeing the water come through the ceiling his wife also expressed that when we had that heavy rain that she could hear water trickling in the ceiling. I let the customer know that he needs to get his roof checked.

Upon arrival I was shown to the kitchen where the new range is going to sit. Then shown to the basement where there is an accessible tap for the new gas line. Run about 20’ feet along the basement ceiling and stub out into the kitchen area. Install 2 gas valves one in the basement and one behind the range. Removed the stub from the existing gas line access to run the new gas pipe for the range. Installed the first shut off valve for the gas. Turned gas back on and lite the water heater and furnace reset. Ran across the basement ceiling tacking up the pipe as I ran along it. Drilled a hole in the wall for the pipe to stub up through. Topped out in the kitchen with the second shut off valve for the range. Tested for leaks none found.

Homeowner has a toilet that was continuously running and therefore couldn’t flush because the tank was not retaining water. There is a plastic object stuck on the flush valve tube that is obstructing the flapper. Will try and recover object to fix toilet. Was able to suction out object. Tested toilet and was good to go.

Came out to Chumack residence to do a electrical inspection upon doing a inspection discovered 5 open boxes that didn’t have a cover on them,exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work as well as outdated smoke detectors resolved these issues today and now are electrically safe.(1 year warranty.)

KSPEHC was called out for toilet not flushing well. On site homeowner explained that toilet was recently replaced due to same issue. New toilet install did not solve the issue. Tech explained that in order to properly diagnose the issue the toilet will need to be removed and camera inspection performed. Tech provided pricing on the tasks and homeowner gave approval. Once toilet was removed tech was able to immediately see a blockage at the bottom of the drop. Blockage was caused by a large piece of tile trapped in the pipe from a floor remodel. This tile was snagging toilet paper over time and causing water to become more and more difficult to drain. Once obstruction was removed tech reset the toilet and then flushed several times to ensure proper function. No issues at this time. Toilet is working properly once again.

KSPEHC was called out for no hot water. Once on site tech was informed that no water is coming out of any fixture from the hot side. As tech investigated the issue he determined the existing water heater was 21 yrs old with heavy amounts of corrosion and sediment inside the unit. This unit also has a failed heat trap nipple causing water to become unable to escape when hot water is turned on. Tech explained the only permanent solution for this is to replace the unit. Tech provided options for 6 and 10 yr water heaters as well as replacing pressure regulator since it sits behind the water heater. Approval was granted for installation of new 10 yrs old electric 50 gal water heater and pressure regulator. Water heater install also included new thermal expansion replacement. Once installation was complete tech pressurized system and inspected all connections made for leaks. No issues at this time. Water is freely flowing from all fixtures when hot side is activated.

On arrival performed heating maintenance inspection on two 2018 Carrier 80% gas furnaces. Checked two 16x25x1 media filters, in new condenser, recently replaced by homeowner. Checked all electrical and mechanical components. Checked thermostat, ductwork, inducer motor, pressure switch and pressure switch tubing, igniter, flame sensor, burner assembly, gas valve, heat rise, blower motor and blower wheel, voltage, amperage, and capacitance. Customer had a light fixture hanging from the wires due to the junction box being broken. I advised customer that the light box needs to be replaced in order to reattach the light fixture to the ceiling. We discussed a secondary option where the wires are still inside the junction box but the light fixture itself would have to be mounted to the stud. I informed him that there might be a little gap between the light and the box. He was fine with that option and we went ahead and reattached it for him. We turned on the lights and the customer was happy.

KSPEHC was called out for hot water issues in master shower. Once in site tech was able to determine the master shower valve needed to be rebuilt. Water was leaking from behind handle. This signifies worn out seals allowing cold water to cross over into the hot when shower valve is activated. This causes water to not be as hot as it once was. Homeowner approved valve to be rebuilt. Once installation was complete tech tested to make sure temp was getting hot and had homeowner verify temperature was to his approval. I issues at this time

On arrival found one 2021 Carrier 2.5 ton heatpump system. Customer states system has been running in aux heat for many hours, he has received emails from nest and also has a very large electric bill. After inspection found that the nest thermostat was wired incorrectly. W wire was connected to W1 not allowing heatstrips to power up and system was running heatpump only. Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had whole home water filtration system that was leaking. After talking with the homeowner, she explained that she moved in last year and noticed that the filter was leaking. After inspecting the filter, I gave the homeowner a diagnostic fee to take a look at it and see what was going on. The filter has shut off valves before and after it so I can isolate it so I did then took it apart to inspect it and found that the filter was really dirty so I cleaned it up, clean off the O-ring then tighten everything back together and was able to get it to stop leaking. I explained to the homeowner that I would recommend replacing it due to old age and it’s starting to fail. Homeowner wanted me to give her an estimate on what it would cost to replace it. I gave the homeowner a couple options and she wanted to go with a GE model from Home Depot. I asked when she would be available to start work and she explained next Saturday about the same time. Upon arrival customer stated that the toilet on the main level is not working and that there is a leak in the master bathroom. Upon my inspection I turned on the water to the home and went to look for the active leak first I found that there is 2 leaks one is the master bathroom shower head is constantly dripping and the shark bite valve for the toilet is dripping out where it meets the pipe Customer was left with an estimate to fix these issues.

Landlord-tenant. Property is actually on septic and the tank needs to be pumped. Blockages remain in the house from when septic was backing up. Keep smiling can clear blockages, but tank will still need to be pumped. Allen is reaching out to his landlord for approval on quotes. At today’s visit, Mr. Bartik called us out for a receptacle in the living room. Recently, Mrs. Bartik went to plug in a phone charger and when she did the receptacle sparked. With this in mind, I recommended replacing the receptacle for a new one to which Mr. Bartik agreed. Therefore, I installed a 15 amp tamper resistant receptacle. I determined the old receptacle sparked due to the internal connection of the outlet being loose from age which caused the spark. With the new receptacle in place, the outlet is in proper working order. At today’s visit, I also provided an estimate to have the main electrical panel replaced in the dining room. The existing panel box is a Federal Pacific panel which was outlawed in the 1980’s due to issues from this panel leading to house fire which prompted the manufacturer to loose their UL listing for this product. The estimate has been emailed over.

At today’s visit, Mr. Jason was looking to have a gfci replaced in his bathroom. It had recently started tripping itself and not resetting knocking out power to the second outlet in this bathroom at the same time. I created an estimate for Mr. Jason to replace this gfci to which he approved. Therefore, I installed a new gfci receptacle. The new gfci has a light indicator for when it is in the tripped position and the light will glow red. The new gfci comes with a 1 year warranty.

Fernando was knowledgeable, kind, professional, charismatic, and accommodating . We have had no problems with the new pex piping and are so much more at ease not depending on polybutylene pipes. My only dissatisfaction is with not being told upfront that I would be left with holes in walls and ceilings that would need to be patched and painted, ultimately increasing my costs. And also not being advised to put tarps or sheets over areas, especially kitchen, where the drywall and ceiling cutting would be done. I’m still trying to clean up all the white powder. Still, I would recommend Fernando. He’s very likable and competent and able to fulfill your needs.
