Mr.Smith has a microwave that was just installed recently. The problem is that when the microwave is operating it’ll shut power off in to the circuit. The issue is due to overload. The microwave has a power draw of 16amps stated on the manufacturers website. This circuit is on a 15 amp breaker with 14 gauge wire. Upsizing the breaker will allow the microwave to run but eventually burn the wire. Previously there was a vent hood in its place. Mr.Smith told me that there was a wire coming out from the wall when they were installing the new microwave. I couldn’t test the microwave on a different outlet because there is no cord from the microwave. It has been hardwired. In order to make this work the microwave will have to be removed and wired again. This model doesn’t appear to be one that can be hardwired so there’s a strong possibility this power cord will have to be built again. At the panel I noticed other issues with the first being that this is a challenger panel. I’ve informed th

The customer was very pleased and payed shortly after. 1 Year Warranty.

Upon arrival customer stated that when the fire department came out to turn off the water when the washing machine box began to leak and flooded the house they had also turned the gas off to the water heater and she would like it relit. Upon inspection I found that the gas to both of the water heaters are off but I also noticed now that the water has been turned back on that the water heater on the right has a leak coming from the internal tank and can not be repaired. I also noticed that above the left side heater there is a saddle valve that is also leaking causing water to drip down the side of the heater and into the pan causing that heater to be sitting in water constantly which can cause rusting and more leaks. I presented the customer with options to get these issues fixed and she chose to Replace both water heaters in the basement to keep both the same age and under manufacture warranty Also replace the saddle valve that is leaking on top of the left side water heater wit

Upon arrival customer stated that they were out of town and they came back to water everywhere in the home and said that there was a big leak in the laundry room. upon my inspection I turned on the water to the house and found that the leak was coming from the hot side washing machine hose. the hose has rusted out where it connects to the washing machine box the rust has eaten away at the gasket inside the hose this leak has caused water damage all inside the house the water had found a path and ran all the way down into the basement and flooding out the home. I explained to the customer that we should swap both of the hoses because this has been rusting for a while and the other one was decently rusted as well and gave her a price to do so and she agreed. Today I replaced the rusted and leaking washing machine hoses 1 year warranty Thank you for choosing keepsmiling plumbing, electric, heating and cooling!

Upon arrival customer stated that he has already pulled up and disposed of the old toilet and that he has bought a new one that is in the dinning room and needs it installed. Upon my inspection I found that the area will work for the toilet and the pressure is good on the home and presented options to get the toilet installed he chose to get the toilet installed and also get the angle stop replaced as well. Today I installed a customer supplied kholer high line arc toilet and replaced the angle stop for the water supply to the toilet. 1 year warranty.

KSPEHC was called out for an upstairs toilet not draining when flushed. On site tech inquired about other drains possibly having issues or if the issue was isolated to just this toilet. Ms Francis assure the issues was isolated to just this toilet. Tech provided option to perform hand auger service in an attempt to clear the blockage within the toilet. Tech expo that if this doesn’t work then removing the toilet to free the blockage is the next step. Approval was given for tech to operate hand auger service. After a few attempts this appeared to clear the blockage. Tech flushed the toilet several times and even had ms Francis flush it as well. No issues at this time.

Came out for no heat call. After inspecting furnace, found blown fuse. After replacement of fuse, unit came on. Waited to observe unit for possible reasons for blowing the fuse in the first place. Did not notice anything out of the usual. Possible power surge that blew it. Also resident believes neither upstairs or downstairs AC works. (Both units are R22)(Goodman condenser is 2006 and Heil condenser is 2000). The thermostat is working. Resident is interested in getting a possible quote. Will inform us of when to schedule.
Good

Replace seats and springs in shower valve. Major water damage so mr Fernandez wants to wait after insurance to possibly replace the valve. Leak is fixed and Hampton is coming out this afternoon.

Estimate to unclog 3 vanity drains and install a basket strainer.

Install and supplied 50 gal electric water heater located in laundry. Water pressure in home is 110psi. Which is too high for home. House plumbing should not exceed 80psi. We advised Mrs. Grant the risk of high pressure. However she declined to have pressure reducing valve replaced. She stated that she couldn’t afford it at the moment.

Customer had a fan in the kitchen that looked like it was starting to sag from the ceiling. My initial thought was that the junction box holding the fan was not fan rated. Upon further inspection, I realized that it was a fan rated box, and the previous installer had used sheet rock screws to mount the fan bracket. These screws most likely destroyed the threads and got to the point were they starting to back out from the box itself. I re-tightened the bracket with the proper screws and make sure that everything was secure.

Homeowner has a slab leak within the foundation below the laundry room. Leak is on the water service line and can be bypassed/rerouted through the kitchen in order to avoid insurance claim and busting up the floors and slab foundation. Keep Smiling will install a new water service main from the water meter to the home. New water main will be bored underneath driveway/sidewalk and trenched up the side of the home. Keep Smiling will need to make one large drywall cut in the back of the breakfast bar in order to get new water service line into the home within a wall. New main will come up into the wall and immediately go through cabinetry towards kitchen sink. Will tie onto the 3/4” cold line underneath kitchen sink. Install will include new PRV and main shut off valve. Keep Smiling is not responsible for drywall repairs 25 year warranty on pipe 5 year warranty on labor

Upon arrival customer claimed to have a clogged toilet in the first level of the house. After inspecting the issue I saw that everytime it’s flushed it drains but very very slow. I recommended the customer to start off with snaking the toilet. If that doesn’t succeed then the next option is pulling the toilet and actually visualizing what is clogging the toilet. Customer agreed with my suggestion and asked how much is it to start. After giving him price he agreed and signed off. After snaking the toilet I pulled back from what seems to be tissue paper. Flushed it 7 times with toilet paper, all were perfect flushes. Thank you for choosing keep smiling plumbing !!!!!!
