Georgia Power left a note saying that some repair work needs to be done near the meter base. The note was handwritten and it was difficult to understand so we’re not 100% sure what the issue is but based on what we can figure out either going to be something loose in the meter base itself, or the fact that the main grounding wire isn’t secure. If the issue is inside the meter base, Georgia Power needs to turn off the power for me to evaluate the situation and figure out if we can fix it or if it needs replacement. Customer has quotes on replacement or fix (if possible), the meter base, and for grounding system. Upon further inspection I was able to determine that the panel was original to the house, built in 1998, making the panel 26 years old. I informed the customer that the panel is highly recommended to get replaced. Surge protection also recommended.

Mr. London received a notification from the water department that he has a leak. Mr. London did mention that his front hose bib and toilet all always running. I did a pressure test and found the pressure to be at 82 psi. When I went into the crawl space to get a look at the prv, I noticed that there is no prv present. I also noticed that the waterline enter the home is leaking. I emailed an estimate for a new waterline and prv to Mr. London. Electrical Diagnostic: After Diagnosing the Electrical Outage at 2285 Rolling Trail, Lithonia GA I found a Faulty 40 Amp Breaker and a Burnt Bus. I will be following up with Mrs.Moutry on 10/04/2024 to further discuss her options and scheduling.
At today’s visit, Mrs. Martin explained she was having several issues. The first involved her garbage disposal. Previously, they were experiencing and issue with the switch controlling it where you would have to play with the switch to get the disposal to engage. They have since removed the light switch and the wiring is exposed. Second, Mrs. Martin stated that the stove is jutted out from the wall due to the stove receptacle hitting the frame of the stove. This is creating a roughly 5 inch gap between the back of the stove and wall. She would like it moved so that the stove can sit closer to the wall. Lastly, Mrs. Martin explained she has been having an issue with her air fryer and microwave running at the same time causing the breaker to trip. It was explained that this is a result of overloading the breaker. Several options were discussed from moving one of the appliances to the other kitchen appliance circuit as well as isolating one of the appliances onto its own dedicated circuit
Quoted for repair
Job quote has been sent. We would need to uninstall, garbage disposal, then uninstall the sink, removing the patient from the countertop. Once the basin is removed, we would then need to measure in order to center the sink properly, cut the tile to spec, and then cut again to get through the wood with a routing saw before we could mount the new basin He wants a two basin sink, new new faucet, we would reuse the garbage disposal and add an additional leg to the drain tying into a new basket strainer. I verified that there is a 2 inch trap so we would be able to tie into that part of the drain.

KSPEHC was called out for a ruptured water heater causing water to flood garage floor. On arrival tech was told that homeowner shut off water to the unit and turned the gas off. During investigation of the failed unit tech was able to see water gushing out of the exhaust cavity. This means the internal hull of the water heater has ruptured allowing water to escape. There is no repair that can be performed to resolve this issue. Replacement is the only solution. Tech provided options for 6 and 10 yr water heater options as well as financing abilities. Homeowner approved the 10yr warranty and opted to take advantage of the financing opportunity. At time of water heater replacement tech also replaced prv and main house shut off. After all installations were completed tech pressurized home and inspected all work for leaks. At this time there are no issues.
