Issue: upstairs system not cooling due that is pretty much empty on refrigerant. House has 2 systems. Furnace is gas Carrier about 10 years old located in the attic and it does upstairs. It has an air filter 16x25x1 that is dirty, suggested to replace it. Found a burned smell coming from isn’t the furnace, it looks like is coming from the control board, the right side of the control board looks like has been overheating, suggested to replace control board. Found blower wheel dirty, suggested to pull it out and clean it. Condenser is 3 tons Carrier about 10 years old located left side of the house with R410a refrigerant. Found dual run capacitor weak reading 39.1 out of 45 mfd at the compressor side and 2 out or 5 mfd at condenser fan motor side, this is putting more stress at compressor and condenser fan motor, suggested to replace capacitor. When I was about to check refrigerant pressures, I noticed that someone has worked on the system recently because the treats of the high side r

At the Morris residence they needed couple of items to be done. Install an outlet, install another outlet with diagnostic, and convert a dry outlet to 120v outlet. Only the dryer outlet project for today. Before starting they’ve informed that a previous electrician worked on the system. The space in the basement has been finished. The electrician prior is no longer working at the home. I did explain to the homeowner that the previous installation of the tandem Siemens breakers don’t belong in this panel. While retrieving parts I did notice a new model of tandem breakers will work in the panel. The new acquisition by ABB over GE’s electrical division has created tandems for this model of panel. Replace dryer outlet and installed a gfci which is receiving 124v. Ready to be to work. At the panel I’ve removed the two pole breaker and added a single pole breaker. I’ve also changed the label to reflect correctly. One year warranty parts and labor.

It has an air filter 20x20x1 that is really dirty, suggested to replace it, customer opted to replace it, replaced it, advised customer to replace air filter every month because of her Dog. Found blower wheel dirty, suggested to pull it out and clean it. Heatpump/condenser is 3.5 tons Goodman about 4.5 years old located right side of the house with R410A refrigerant. Refrigerant pressures are good. I tested dampers and they are operating properly at this time. System currently cooling with a Delta T of 18.6 degrees at this time. I didn’t find anything that could have cause system not cooling for upstairs, I asked customer exactly what happened and she said that this week the temperature for upstairs isnt satisfying, temperature is 77 or 78 degrees upstairs even though that she

Upon arrival customer stated that there is a leak coming from the upstairs hallway bathroom and leaking down into the garage ceiling. I let the customer know that I will have to cut out some of the ceiling to see exactly what’s leaking and that Keepsmiling is not responsible for any Sheetrock repairs and presented the price for diagnostic work and she agreed. Upon inspection I went upstairs and flushed the toilet and ran the tub and came back down to the garage and cut open the ceiling. I found the leak to be coming from the toilet but couldn’t tell if it was leaking from the flange down onto the 3” 90° fitting or if the fitting itself was leaking. So I presented the customer with two prices one to try a pull and reset on the toilet with new wax rings and bolts and the another price for if that doesn’t work. She agreed to try the pull and reset first. I pulled up the toilet and reset it with a new wax ring and bolts and flushed the toilet and found no more leak. Customer is

Issue: system isn’t cooling control board isn’t operational due to a faulty transformer. Upon arrival, I found furnace without the doors, and furnace service switch off and water at emergency drain pan, I asked customer if someone came to work on the system and she told me that someone came last week and left it open and without power, he also replaced the service disconnect to outdoor unit but system still not working. Furnace is gas Rheem about 27 years old located in the attic. It has an air filter 16x25x1 that needs replacing. Found water at emergency drain pan, suggested to remove water out from it. Found a lot of water damages inside furnace, it looks like it has been leaking water for a while. Found blower motor bearings wearing out and blower wheel dirty. Condenser is 3.5 tons Rheem about 27 years old located right side of the house with R22 refrigerant. Main reason for the system not cooling is because control board isn’t operational due to a faulty transformer, explained

I was met on site by Mr. Jackson. He explained to me that the toilet that was installed by another Keep Smiling technician had coincidentally clogged up these couple months after the original installation. He also brought up how the shower in that same bathroom is running. I assessed the bathroom so that I could see the issues myself. The toilet most likely had a basic soft tissue clog. The shower would intermittently run. When I arrived, the spout was expelling water. I quickly turned on the water for a few seconds and turned it back off. At this point, it was no longer running. I inspected the water pressure and thermal expansion tank. The water pressure was within the appropriate range, but the thermal expansion tank had failed. I went over all of these details with Mr. Jackson and provided multiple options to go over. For today’s visit, he opted to only have me unclog his toilet. I got the approval signature, allowing me to move forward. I spent a few minutes in the bathroom with

At the Lewis residence they wanted to install a chargepoint car charger. I offered two options at different price points and agreed upon installing slightly to the left of the panel. This price was approved by the manager. During installation I was able to run the wire with only one cut out that I’ve covered with a blank cover. The charger is firmly attached to the stud. The cord has plenty of length at approximately 25Ft . The breaker is at the top left on a 60amp breaker and is labeled. We have tested the charging before leaving and it is working properly. Currently when it’s not charging the charger will blink white until it is connected to the app. Once that happens it’ll change color when docked to a green light. Signal means ready. Before leaving I also explained that while setting up the app it’ll ask for “what is the breaker size “. Make sure to put it as a 60amp breaker. Once the app is set up it’ll enable all your features that it’s comes with like scheduling when to char

I arrived on the job and spoke with Mrs. Putten about what work she needed performed. After looking over the faulty fixture I tested the photocell and found that to be the issue. I informed our client the best plan would be to replace to fixture. I wrote up a quote to do so and she agreed. I moved forward with uninstalling the existing fixture to install an electrical box and company provided fixture. I adjusted the previously installed flood lights along with the replacement.

At today’s visit, I spoke with Abbigale in regards to a car charger installation she is looking to have done. Abbigale is currently in the process of purchasing two Tesla vehicles, A model 3 and Model Y. Based off this information and what we had talked about in regards to charging capabilities and charging speed, the 240v 50A charger option was the preferred option. I provided two options for accomplishing the goal, the first would consist of having the charger installed into the garage directly beneath the panel box. The second option was for an outdoor installation. Both options have been sent over to the email on file.

Technician came for leak call. Upon arrival, unit was off and drain pan was full. Used shop vac indoors to clear out pan. Used pump outside to clear line of debris. Relplaced filter. Checked outside pressures which were a little low. Resident agreed to add 1 pound of refrigerant. No other faults found at this time. Thank you for choosing Keep Smiling! Have a good day!

Upon arrival, customer stated that there was a sewer smell coming from underneath kitchen, and also that toilet in back bath was not holding water in bowl. After further inspection, was able to determine that sewer line in crawlspace for kitchen drain had came off of fitting, causing sewage to spill into crawlspace every time kitchen sink was used. Up to 3ins of sewage were found in crawlspace in different areas. Stated to customer that it was recommended to replace existing pipe due to not being properly installed before and line full of grease. Back bath is an addition and drain was plumbed outside of crawlspace, after every flush, water would vacuum into drain and empty bowl. Gave recommendations on repairs and customer decided to have kitchen drain repiped. Referred customer to mitigation company due to raw sewage in crawlspace floor. As soon as we mitigation company comes out, we’ll schedule to return and complete work. Today’s charge will be credited to full amount once work is c

Mr.Smith has a microwave that was just installed recently. The problem is that when the microwave is operating it’ll shut power off in to the circuit. The issue is due to overload. The microwave has a power draw of 16amps stated on the manufacturers website. This circuit is on a 15 amp breaker with 14 gauge wire. Upsizing the breaker will allow the microwave to run but eventually burn the wire. Previously there was a vent hood in its place. Mr.Smith told me that there was a wire coming out from the wall when they were installing the new microwave. I couldn’t test the microwave on a different outlet because there is no cord from the microwave. It has been hardwired. In order to make this work the microwave will have to be removed and wired again. This model doesn’t appear to be one that can be hardwired so there’s a strong possibility this power cord will have to be built again. At the panel I noticed other issues with the first being that this is a challenger panel. I’ve informed th

Gave customer estimate to slight remodel and stub out connections for new sink. He is going to call us back when and if he wants to move forward. Thank you for choosing keep smiling.

I arrived on the job and spoke with Mr. and Mrs. Putten about what I’ll be doing today, I got to work replacing the flood lights when I found damaged wiring. I wrote up a quote to replace the wire and finish the instillations of the flood lights. He agreed so I continued. Once completed I presented my work and confirmed they worked as intended. The customer was very pleased and payed shortly after. 1 Year Warranty.

Upon arrival customer stated that when the fire department came out to turn off the water when the washing machine box began to leak and flooded the house they had also turned the gas off to the water heater and she would like it relit. Upon inspection I found that the gas to both of the water heaters are off but I also noticed now that the water has been turned back on that the water heater on the right has a leak coming from the internal tank and can not be repaired. I also noticed that above the left side heater there is a saddle valve that is also leaking causing water to drip down the side of the heater and into the pan causing that heater to be sitting in water constantly which can cause rusting and more leaks. I presented the customer with options to get these issues fixed and she chose to Replace both water heaters in the basement to keep both the same age and under manufacture warranty Also replace the saddle valve that is leaking on top of the left side water heater wit
