Defective breaker
Customer had washing machine circuit tripping. After a diagnostic I discovered a bad breaker. After replacing the breaker the power was holding and restored to the outlets where we didn’t have power before. I also added a casseta switch in the upstairs bathroom to be able to turn on the toilet light as soon as you walk in.
Irrigation system was getting absolutely no water. I cut out the 3 inch Tee as they did not leave me any room to remove a 2 inch ball valve in the current configuration. What’s depressurization was completed I was able to cut out the tee as well as the two inch line, where we found a roll of duct tape that had made its way up the 6 inch main and lodged itself in the 3 x 2 reducer. I was able to successfully changed everything out to schedule 80 PVC with a new ball valve and get everything put back together as it should.
Branch no longer backed up when I arrived
Diagnostic of the Instant-Hot Water Heater beneath the bathroom sink to find the source of the failure and to determine the steps for repair.
Upon arrival costumer stated his mini water heater underneath his sink started to smoke so he turned off the heater from the breaker. After further inspection I noticed the electric panel was labeled wrong due to me shutting the water heater labeled breaker and it shut off the shops computers and Wi-Fi. Electrical technician need to come and inspect the electrical wires
This quote is being presented and excepted to rework the 3 inch domestic line schedule 80 stack. We are going to have to cut out the 3 inch schedule 80 tee, we will then replace the tee, and ties the 2 inch irrigation system back, moving the 2inch ball valve to the vertical run. I will rework everything prior to the RPZ ensuring compliance in every aspect. The water will be isolated on the domestic line, and will be turned off to the entire complex for the duration of the repair. Work will be performed December 2 first thing in the morning
Installed customer supplied gas valve for Rheem water heater that was not diagnosed properly by previous plumbing tech. After installation the water heater still only ran for 5 minutes as customer mentioned before. Removed burner assembly and combustion shutoff off device for inspection. Found no issues with these parts. Cleaned out combustion chamber and reinstalled parts I removed. Lit water heater and it ran until I left the customers home.
Homeowners pilot light has gone out. Water heater is only 1 year old. This will relite pilot only. No warranty on pilot. Customer currently has a 3/8” ID gas flex on a 75 gallon heater. Keep Smiling will install a true 1/2” gas flex to supply more gas to the appliance. Also install thermal expansion tank, prior plumber failed to install thermal expansion tank. Supply and Install 1” PRV. Water pressure was measured at 83 PSI, indicating the PRV has started to fail. Homeowner is having intermittent hot water issues. Upon further inspection, the recirculating pump is missing a check valve on the cold water, inlet side of the water heater. Will install a new three-quarter check valve in attempt to fix water issues. Cannot guarantee 100% that issues will be completely resolved as we do not know the age of the pump, when it was installed, and if the dedicated loop was installed correctly in the first place. If localized issues remain, we will need to return and look into scald guard is
Customer wanted to shop around.
Homeowner has over 100 psi of pressure in the home, causing two leaks. Keep Smiling will install new shower cartridge upstairs in master bathroom as well as install a new T&P in the water heater. This is an attempt to fix the immediate leaks with no warranty or guarantee on the work. Keep Smiling cannot warranty any repairs for this home unless the PRV is replaced. PRV is not included in this repair. Keep Smiling will have to make small drywall cut in basement to replace PRV and main valve. Keep Smiling is not responsible for drywall repair. ZERO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE. Payment required upfront for work. Shower had a steady stream of water going into a storage tub. After cartridge was replaced, the shower stopped completely. The T&P had a stready drip coming out of the house and that drip has completely stopped. Checked the water meter and the meter is still spinning, it is much slower, but still spinning some. Checked toilets and did not find any further leaks. Homeowner appears
I arrived to the property and consulted with the customer on my recommendations of water filtration but ultimately let him decide which one he wanted in his home. I gave him a quote to install his customer supplied water, filtration system or supplying and installing the halo H2 zero carbon tank with an ion rod. I also gave the customer quote to install a customer supplied sink and an upstairs laundry room. The estimates will be good for 30 days and the $39 dispatch fee can be applied for one week of the quote given today.
Replaced single handle cartridge in m bath shower that has hand held sprayer that would not shut off.
No leaking from shower head ,removed hose from shower head and cleaned screen, tested and now is better.
Arrived on the job and walked it with the customer. After seeing everything he would like done I wrote up a couple different options for him. He requested I send the quotes over so he can look it over and decide. Job entails installing a fan on the back porch, installing 3 new outlets within 5 of existing power and installing 2-4 recessed lights within an upstairs bedroom.
On arrival, customer claimed he wanted to run a line to his AC condensation from his dehumidifier. Customer had everything that I needed. I only charged them a diagnostic fee. Thank you for choosing keep smiling plumbing.
