Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ms. Szigety. She discussed with me her recent high water bill and was concerned about the possibility of some kind of leak or running toilet. Ms. Szigety escorted me around her home in order for me to perform some basic assessments. I was able to confirm that her main waterline was not leaking. A few things were noticed during the assessment. The thermal expansion tank had failed, the upstairs fill valve for the Jack and Jill toilet was malfunctioning, the fill valve for the basement toilet was malfunctioning, the flapper for the main level toilet was extremely deteriorated. Ms. Szigety agreed to have me put together pricing for these. I also spoke to Ms. Szigety about the Moen Flo smart shut off valve. She plans on contacting her insurance to inquire about benefits to her insurance plan. We went over multiple estimates and agreed on one of them. I got Ms. Szigety’s approval signatures, allowing me to move forward. I turned the water off to the home in o
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Carly. She clarified to me that Melinda would not be in today. Carly brought me to the urinal that has experienced an issue recently. What Carly explained to me is that this urinal but sometimes continue to run after a flush. From her understanding, it was an intermittent issue. During my initial assessment, I was unable to re-create the issue of it running. I did notice a large quantity of black rubber while the water was flushing. I informed Carly that this is a sign of one of the rubber components inside of the valve deteriorating. I provided pricing for a full valve replacement versus replacing the diaphragm. Carly got Melinda on the phone so that we could discuss the options. Melinda opted to have me replace the diaphragm. I got the approval signatures from Carly, allowing me to move forward. I purchased and supplied the matching diaphragm from a nearby supply house and swapped the two diaphragms out. With the valve taken apart, I inspected the part

Upon arrival there was water in the street. After looking around the house on the outside, found the hose bib on the right side of the house was left open. Allowing it to leak where the water connects to the spool for the hose. Cutting that off stopped the meter from spinning. Took photos to verify.
Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had a water service line leak in front of the meter. After talking with the homeowner he explained that his neighbor had the same problem about three months ago. I asked the homeowner how old the house is and he explained that the house is 20 years old. I asked him how long has he lived in the house, and he explained that he has lived in the house for about five years and has not had any work done to the service line in the five years that he has lived there. I explain to the homeowner that the service line is at the end of its life span, which is why his and his neighbors have started to leak. I explained to the homeowner that I would not recommend doing a spot repair due to the pipe already be in 20 years old and has had a leak. I explained that I have had homeowners in the past want to just go with the spot repair and then six months down the road another leak pops up. Homeowner explained that he is only going to be living here until his kid goe
Upon arrival costumer claimed that he had a leak on the base of his toilet. After inspecting the toilet I noticed it was a wax issue. I then went over a couple options to start with, and we began work with the cheapest option. After pulling the toilet, it was in fact a wax issue. After replacing the wax ring and resetting the toilet I tested for leaks and found that there was a leak coming from the tank to bowl. I brought it up to the costumer and we decided to replace the tank to bowl kit for the same price. After replacing it I tested and flushed 5 times and there were no leaks left. I advised the costumer that next time he has an issue with the toilet, that it would behoove of him to replace the toilet. I will be sending him an estimate for that.

Customer is looking to change his shower set up. Due to the profile of the valve changing the valve would have to be a direct replacement. The customers main concern is the showerhead itself, I looked at several different options, and he is going to make a decision and order one and have it on site for us to replace sometime in January
Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had call bathroom bathtub that was draining really slow. After talking with the homeowner, he explained that he has poured Drano down it to try and help the starfish, but it has not worked. Homeowner also explained he tried to take the stopper off, but couldn’t. After inspecting work, I took the tiptoe tub stopper off and immediately saw that it was packed full of hair and sludge. I will grab the homeowner and showed him what was going on and explain that I could grab my snake off the truck and sneak out the drain to get it flowing. I gave the homeowner an estimate to sneak out the tub drain. Homeowner explained that he has his own snake and he will try but if he is unsuccessful, he will give us a call back. KSPEHC was called out for a ruptured pull out sprayer for kitchen faucet. On site homeowner explained the issue and showed tech the failed part. Homeowner also said they bought a new faucet in case the hose was not repairable. After seeing the faucet tech realized there was no repair to be made. The existing faucet didn’t have a manufacturer brand on it which would make it extremely hard to order the new hose. Time in shipping and delivery would also render the existing faucet inoperable until the part arrived to make the necessary repair. Tech explain that replacing the faucet is going to be the best course of action and would allow the kitchen sink to be used same day. Tech provided pricing option for customer supplied faucet. Homeowner approved tech to perform the install of the new kitchen faucet. During the process of removing the existing faucet tech noticed the emergency shut off valves did not stop the water from flowing to the faucet. Tech brought this up to the homeow
Customer had concerns about mold buildup in the bathroom due to humidity. the home already had a large exhaust fan, but it seemed insufficient for the bathroom. I installed and exhaust fan light combo over the shower to help out the other fan with the humidity. Being over the main source of the steam should help eliminate most of the humidity and allow the other one to perform better. I also replaced a keyless light fixture in the attic.

When I arrived to the warehouse, I was greeted by Carlos. He escorted me to the location where they noticed the leak was coming from. One of the forklift employees raised me up to the pipe on one of the company’s lifts so that I can properly examine the pipe. When I removed the section of fiberglass pipe insulation I found multiple rust stains on the copper. I was unable to see the specific pinhole for the leak, but this section of pipe was the only section that had water expelling from it. I put together an estimate to perform a repair on that section of pipe that Carlos agreed to. I gathered the material I needed from the nearby supply house in order to perform the work upon returning. Mr. Frank showed up shortly there after to chat about the situation and oversee what my plan of action is. We drained the building before I cut the pipe in order to avoid a big mess. I replaced that section of the 1-1/4” copper and repressurized the building. After purging all of the air out of the sys
