Upon arrival, I was greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Little. They expressed their concern about having a leak in their water service line. They were also concerned about their water heater having malfunctioned. I assessed the situation with the service line first. I did confirm that the service line itself was leaking. I moved onto the water heater and conversed with Mr. and Mrs. Little about what they’ve experienced with it. It was producing no hot water, and at one point the water was exceeding the set temperature. What I noticed was the thermostat was tripped. The reset button luckily worked, but I emphasized that it may only work temporarily due to the age of the water heater. A 16 year old electric water heater trips for a reason. With everything in mind, we discussed both issues. I provided a couple of estimates. One with financing and one without financing. I went over my plan for executing the work. As of now, Mr. and Mrs. Little are wanting to weigh each of the options. They agreed on
Upon arrival customer claimed to have a leak coming from her water heater. She took me to the garage to find a 1999 water heater leaking from the expansion tank. After inspecting everywhere around the heater. I then started asking her questions about her unit. She never has replaced it and she wants to sell the house soon. I then recommended that the best option in her scenario will be replacement but before I will give her a couple option and upon her decision, we will still be taking care of her. I then made up three estimates. One, replacing only expansion tank. Two, repiping the expansion tank side since it was held by shark bites, and three replace the whole heater includes replacing everything. After a little bit of negotiation she ended up choosing replacing the whole heater. I replaced her 40 gallon and upgraded to a 50 gallon a o smith. After pressurizing everything I checked for leaks and no leaks were seen. Water Heater comes with a 6 year manufacture warranty and 1 year
customer looking to install a ductless system in his sunroom
Upon arrival, customer stated he had a leak in his ceiling and his kitchen. Customer stated the same thing happened approximately 20 years ago and the issue was the bathtub right above that ceiling. Told customer in order to assess the issue. I would have to cut open the sheet rock in order to diagnose the issue. Customer approved estimate of diagnostic fee, cut open sheet rock and determine where the issue was. After inspection I noticed the leak was coming from a half inch copper 90. It had a pinhole leak that was causing the leak. Customer approved estimate to repair half inch copper line. Installing new piping as well as a new propress 90, I turned the water back onto the home to make sure my repair was free of leaks. Parts and labor have one year warranty.
On arrival to call for no heat customer was telling me about their problems with the hvac system as well as the water heater. Found the disconnect to water heater was pulled due to it sparking and arching, after a quick inspection found the disconnect box had failed and needs replaced. After inspecting hvac system found there was no power going to furnace. Also electrical panel in garage is missing two single pole breakers, one is possibly for the furnace. Discussed findings with homeowner and she has decided to just replace the disconnect today since the weather is nice out and focus on the hvac at a later date. Her main concerns was the hot water at the moment. She will call soon for our electrical department to come out and resolve electrical issues. Technician installed new 60 amp disconnect box. Tested voltage to water heater to ensure it is heating. Thank you for choosing Keep Smiling Club. Have a blessed day.
Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had upstairs master shower that he was able to get the tub spout to work, but was unable to get the shower to turn on. After talking with the homeowner, he explained that he just bought the house and was trying to figure out how to turn on the showers. After inspecting the shower, I immediately realize that it was the kind that you pull down on the diverter on the end of the tub spout to divert the water from the spout to the showerhead. I explained everything to the homeowner and we went and checked the other shower to make sure it was the same and it was. I collected a $50 diagnostic fee. Thank you for choosing keep smiling Plumbing and electric, heating and cooling.
