KSPEHC returned to perform water service repair from previous visit. Church staff had leak detection services come out and locate ruptured water service. While tech was on site estimate was provided to the church for removing a section of asphalt driveway and excavating subsoil to expose failed pipe and to make necessary repairs to a high-pressure 2 1/2 inch schedule 80 line. Once repair was made tech pressurized the system and inspected repair connections for leaks. once repair was backfilled tech placed section of removed asphalt back into the hole to prevent excessive mud from washing down the driveway and getting into a major highway. An orange cone was also placed on top of the broken up asphalt as a warning to any cars entering the driveway or leaving. KSPEHC is not responsible for asphalt replacement. This will be the responsibility of the church.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Brian. He is the owner of Ivywood Academy. The toilet that is causing the issue is the toilet for the front office. I took a moment to assess the toilet. I managed to successfully flush it for the first flush. Any attempt after that resulted in an immediate back up. Brian explained to me that there was another plumbing company out here months ago dealing with this same toilet. That plumber ran a sewer machine and successfully broke up the blockage. That same plumber also ran a camera and found no defects or brakes within the drain line. Brian and I walked around the building flushing multiple other toilets to see if any of them would back up. One appeared to have a basic clog, but the others flushed perfectly fine. I provided an estimate for removing the toilet and running the sewer machine in an attempt to clear out the blockage. The estimate was significantly above Brian‘s budget. I got my supervisor’s authorization to offer a lower price, but Brian did
Repaired 1/2” copper potable water pipe in ceiling of kitchen. Keep smiling is not responsible for drywall damage
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ms. Godwin. She brought me to the area of her garage that this potential leak has been happening. The area was damp from some kind of water source. I spent time assessing the area for the cause. This meant inspecting all of the connections for a possible leak. I managed to find one leak. It was coming from the 3/4 inch CPVC by male adapter above the pressure valve. The home is piped with CPVC pipes. This pressure valve was replaced by another Keep Smiling technician earlier this year. This includes this fitting that was leaking. Due to the circumstance this qualified as a recall/warranty job. I provided Ms. Godwin a zero dollar estimate for repiping this section in order to resolve this leak. She provided her signature, allowing me to move forward. I spent time reworking this area of pipe in order to have proper and accurate connections. I included a new secondary ball valve shut off after the pressure valve for the purpose of maintenance. After the con
I arrived on the job and spoke with our client about what work they would be needing performed. After looking over the existing cook-top and the new cook-top I wrote up a price for uninstalling the existing cook-top, installing an electrical junction box underneath the counter and installing the new cook-top in its place. We agreed on a price and I got to work. Once completed I tested the cook top and collected payment. 1 Year Warranty.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Mrs. Mattie. She escorted me to the main level hallway powder room to show me the toilet that’s been giving her issues. Mrs. Mattie explain to me that it had been running for a while and recently recently had a friend replaced the fill valve and flapper. Her friend advised her to have a plumber come out to inspect the toilet. I spent time assessing the toilet by flushing it several times, and adding leak detection tablets into the tank. At no point was the toilet showing any sign of a malfunction or leak. The chain for the new flapper was hooked on a bad location with the handle. I took a moment to place the flapper chain on a different spot to allow for a better flush. I provided Mrs. Mattie the good news assuring her that her friend did a proper job. After some further conversations, Mrs. Mattie acknowledged that they’ve never had issues with the toilet stopping up during their time living in the home. I asked if she would like for me to perform a compl

Upon arrival, customer claimed that he had a leak in his ceiling and thought it was a plumbing related thing since he did have a re-pipe on his home done a while back. After showing me the stain on his ceiling he told me he had no firestorms in the attic, but he did have some pipe up there from whenever he had his pipe done. I told him to give me a couple minutes to go in the attic and since he wasn’t able to. I went to the spot where there was the stain on the ceiling. I looked up at the attic ceiling and noticed a black spot where the vent is is coming out the house. And another black spot where there looks like to be a vent for the attic. I took pictures and showed the customer. I recommended to have a roof company come by and check his roof. I asked him how long ago was his roof replaced and he said he cannot remember when but it has been a while. Unfortunately, we cannot find anything to help out today besides recommending to have a roof company come by. Thank you for choosing ke
Master bathroom sink on the left side is draining very slow. We will removed pop up and drain pipe to clear debris and reconnect everything back. Test for leaks and proper flow. Comes with 30 day warranty. After checking pressure to the house pressure was reading 95 psi. The pressure is to high and needs to be 60 to be under code. Due to the prv (pressure reducing valve) being bad. It has compromised the thermal expansion tank and its full of water. Watched pressure rise with mrs Karen from 95 to 115 because thermal expansion tank is not working properly. We will be replacing the prv and the thermal expansion tank to bring plumbing system back up to code. Pressure will be 60 psi. Test for leaks. Comes with 1 year parts and labor warranty on both installs.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ms. Minotte. She has squirted me to her master bathroom toilet to show me the issue that has recently happened. This toilet is a Kohler brand installed by another Keep Smiling technician in January of 2024. The fill valve will randomly malfunction and not allow water to fill up the tank I flushed the toilet several times and successfully re-created it once. I wrote up a zero dollar estimate to replace the fill valve under the pretense of a recall/warranty. Ms. Minotte provided her approval signature, allowing me to move forward. I initially replaced the fill valve with a Fluidmaster branded universal fill valve. This was not sufficient for this particular toilet. The quality of flush significantly dropped. I went to Home Depot to purchase a Kohler brand fill valve to use instead. Once this fill valve was in place, I tested the toilet with several flushes. The Kohler brand fill valve fills up the tank more slowly than the Fluidmaster brand. The toilet had

Technician arrived on site, the toilet in the upstairs hall bath has been intermittently, turning on for a moment then back off. in the tank and I did not observe any colored water coming into the bowl. I asked that Mr. Christian monitor for the rest of the day, and if he hears the toilet kick on for whatever reason to check in the bowl, also to check in the bowl, even if he doesn’t at the end of the day to ensure that no food coloring has escaped into the bowl and there’s an issue with the flapper. The faucet handles in the downstairs bathroom, Mr. Christian needed some advice on which handles to purchase. I still highly recommend for the pressure reducing valve to be changed as soon as possible.
At today’s service, Mr. And Mrs. Yadav have been expericing an issue with two of their kitchen outlets not working. This issue first presented itself roughly a month ago when Mrs. Yadav was using a blender in the kitchen island receptacle. The power had cut out and has been off to the two receptacles since this occurred. During the evaluation I checked for tripped gfci receptacles and tripped breakers as this is the most common issue in regard to kitchen outlets not working. None of these were tripped. Therefore, I recommended diagnostic work be performed to ascertain the issue of power loss. Mr. And Mrs. Yadav agreed to this estimate. During the diagnostic, I was able to determine that the kitchen gfci to the left of the cook top had failed internally causing the device to loose its outgoing hot connection supplying power to the other two receptacles even though the gfci itself was still functional. I recommended that the gfci be replaced as this would solve the issue to which Mr. And
Upon arrival, customer stated that he had a leak on his water heater. Upon further investigation. I found that the pressure on the home was at 85 psi, and when I took the plate off of the water heater, I found that the lining of the water heater had been compromised. Upon arrival, customer claimed that she wanted her gas fireplace to be lit because she could not turn it on, as soon as she shows me it, I noticed every valve was off, and I turned it on to try to ignite it. Then I removed the fake log on the stand. I noticed the cable going to the igniter was cut. It I could still push the cable in to the igniter to try to turn on. I tried it and it successfully turned on but it could still pop out of place at any moment. I offered the customer to give her an estimate on replacing the whole unit because if I leave the cable pushed in the igniter, it will give her more of a hassle if it ever pops out of place. I set up an estimate but she said it was a little to high for something she never uses and will just wait on her son to fix her heat. I kept the fire place on for about 15 min while setting up an estimate and it heated the whole house up. She just told me to leave it off because it was too hot. Thank you for choosing keep smiling plumbing !!!!
The Moen cartridge was starting to disintegrate in the upstairs master bedroom. Pulled the old cartridge and replaced back with a new one. Upon reinstalling the trim noticed the previous plumber broke the handle when taking it off. Replaced the handle and tested to make sure everything was in proper working condition.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Mr. Wright. He escorted me around his home while discussing with me multiple concerns. The main level powder room toilet took forever to fill up. The shower for the daughter’s bathroom would eventually squeal. The thermal expansion tank had failed and is the improper size for the water heater. Mr. Wright also asked me about the faucet in the daughters bathroom. He was concerned that it could be leaking from below. Upon further inspection, I found no leak coming from it at this time. I provided solutions for the three issues at hand. For today, Mr. Wright agreed to have me replace the shower cartridge and the fill valve for the previously stated shower and toilet. I turned the water off to the property in order to replace both items. With the new shower cartridge and fill valve installed I pressurized the system again. Toilet and shower are working properly with no signs of defects. I advised Mr. Wright to keep an eye on both over the near term. An email f
Upon arrival, customer stated the right side of her sink was not draining properly. After further inspection, I noticed the problem was the garbage disposal. The garbage disposal was clogged up with grease and food debris. Customer approved estimate to replace the garbage disposal with a new half horsepower badger 500 garbage disposal. After reconnecting everything and installing the new disposal, I turned the water on to make sure the water was flowing properly. I turned the breaker on from the panel to test the new disposal and it was working properly. Parts and labor have two year warranty.
