Job Locations and Reviews
Arrived on the job and spoke with our client about what issues they were having. After asking some questions about the smoke detectors I learned that they were far older than the recommended life span, so I wrote up a price to replace all four smoke detectors within the house, one in the basement, one of the main floor, and two upstairs. After some negotiating we came to an agreement on a price and I moved forward with the work. Once completed I tested to make sure the new smokes worked as intended. Customer was pleased and payment collected. 1 Year Warranty
Upon arrival customer stated that she was remodeling the kitchen in the home and the cabinets she ordered were not the right size and needed a gas line moved about 5 inches off of the back side of the cabinet. Customer is contacting the cabinet guys to see if they will cover the sheet rock repairs.
Customers floors buckling in hall way, will schedule leak detection to come out and locate leak.
On arrival performed heating maintenance inspection on one 2003 Lennox 80% gas furnace / R-22 air conditioner. Found that the furnace control board has failed. Also possibly needs hot surface igniter and transformer. Discussed replacement options with homeowner. She is going to think it over and decide if she wants to replace part or replace full system. Left estimates for both. Thank you for choosing Keep Smiling. Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend.
Arrived on the job and spoke with our client about work he would like to be performed. After looking over the job I wrote up a price for our client to send over to him. He will reach out for scheduling if he approves of our pricing.
I arrived to the customers home and reworked the drain to the right side of the kitchen and installed all new PVC piping to fix what was previously there. I ran water for several minutes and dumped several full sinks of water to ensure there were no leaks on my work. there is a one year parts and labor warranty.
New shower in m bath and not getting hot enough, adjusted temp control on cartridge and is now hotter and adjusted pressure to 50,was only 35.
I gave the customer an estimate to rework the drain lines to his kitchen sink. The customer expressed interest will let me know by tonight.
The customer had a leak on their main waterline to the home. It was roughly 130 feet from the meter to the home and we had to do a 25 foot driveway boar. Previously the customer and I discussed there would be a pathway getting to the main shut off to our home where water enters in the basement, but there was not a pathway and I could not reseal the inside of the home. My managers informed the customer she has 30 days to create a path for us to reseal it with Hydro cement. I pressurize the system and tested for any leaks. There is a 10 year labor warranty on the work performed today.
Upon arrival customer stated they have put a new refrigerator down stairs in the basement and would like to have a new ice maker box installed for the refrigerators ice maker. Customer also stated he would like a price on roughing in hot and cold water lines and a stand-alone drain pump for a sink They would like to put in next to the refrigerator. Customer was left with 3 estimates to take care of everything that was mentioned. Install new ice maker line by using a tee fitting to branch off of the main cold water line of the house and cutting out some sheet rock to drop a waterline down the wall behind the refrigerator to install a brand new ice maker box. Rough in hot and cold water lines and install a stand-alone point of use drain pump for kitchen sink in basement. And a bundle deal including all of the above. Thank you for calling Keep Smiling Plumbing, electric, heating and cooling!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Mrs. Pierce. She provided her authorization signature, allowing me and the dig team to move forward. The dig team performed a straightforward trench in the front yard and executed a minor bore under the sidewalk. The new dual check valve was connected at the meter, and the 3/4” black poly pipe was shoved through a new hole at the foundational wall. I transitioned the black poly into the existing copper pipe within the basement. A section of the copper was removed so that I could install the new pressure valve. I plugged the hole in the foundational wall with hydraulic cement. The plumbing was pressurized with all of the air purged out of the system. I inspected my connections and found no signs of leakage. With everything finished I adjusted the pressure to the home to be approximately 60 psi. I advised Mrs. Pierce to inspect the work over the next few days. * 5 Year Warranty for the exterior work. * 1 Year Warranty for the interior work.
Replaced flush assembly and emergency shut off valve.
I discussed with the customer some options to complete the work and she agreed to replace the waterline from the meter to the home with a 71 put transfer from the meter up to the home as well as a 26 foot driveway boar. The customer greet have the work done Monday morning.
Leak outside from relief valve drain, checked water pressure and was fine, replaced relief valve on water heater.
I replaced a GFCI outlet in the front exterior of the home. When replacing the outlet I noticed the outlet box was broken. I advised the customer and he agreed on the repair. I installed the new box followed by a brand new weather rated GFCI outlet and a new in use bubble cover. I also replaced a single pole switch in the kitchen. Sconce light needs to be installed on a future date.
The customer was selling his home and home inspector said his water heater was old and needed to be replaced before selling the home. The customer is looking to cut cost as much as possible, which I reuse the gas, the venting, the T&P. I did however, replace the ball valve to the water heater, replace the thermal expansion tank, and supplied and installed the new 50 gallon gas water heater. I pressurize the system tested for any leaks. There is a one-year parts and labor warranty, as well as six-year manufacturing warranty on the water heater.
Keep Smiling will pull and reset toilet to fix current leak at the base of the toilet, but this will NOT fix the intermittent toilet filling issue. 3 month warranty
Soft tissue blockage, isolated in the toilet, I was able to clear the blockage with the hand auger. While doing my pre-inspection of the area Ms Arnold mentioned that the flush button on the toilet tank lid kept getting stuck. I was able to determine that one of the setscrews had been compressed to far and it was slightly twisting the housing. I was able to adjust this, and everything is functioning properly at this time.
Estimate for fill valve
Arrived at homeowners home. Homeowner had garbage disposal in kitchen that was leaking. After talking with the homeowner he explained that he had his garbage disposal replaced a year ago, and now it is leaking. After inspecting work, I found that it was leaking from around the basket strainer because the basket strainer was not tight. I slipped on the switch for power to see if it would spin and it would just hum. I explain to the homeowner that I could try to unjam the garbage disposal in hopes that would work, but I would at least need to change out the basket strainer to fix the leak. I also explain to the homeowner that the garbage disposal has black mold in grease running down the side of it due to it leaking for so long so I would recommend a replacement to get everything taken care of with no leaks. I gave him an estimate to replace kitchen garbage disposal. Homeowner accepted. I did the work. Tested for leaks and functionality and all is well. Thank you for choosing keep smilin
Technicians took a look at the refrigerator supply line, it was found that when the fridge was pulled out, it was pulled a little too far, causing a small drip on the quick connect for the supply line, technician cut off the end and reconnected the quick connect, there is no more leaks on the supply line
Cut the water heater off to allow tank to be drained. Turn water back on to fill tank and check if everything is functioning properly. Toilet is blocked. Use toilet auger to clear the blockage. Check to make sure toilet is flushing properly. Cut the water heater off to drain down the tank. Fill back up the tank and check for any leaks or issues. Clear the blockage in basement bathroom with a toilet auger. Flush multiple time to make sure toilet is working as it should. The dual handle faucet in basement bathroom is leaking out of the handle cartridges. Rebuild the lavatory faucet to ensure that the leak is fixed.
KSPEHC was called out for a toilet not filling up. On arrival homeowner took tech to upstairs master toilet. Water to the fixture was already turned off. Homeowner stated that water goes in the tank but never fills. Upon inspection of the fixture tech immediately noticed the canister vslve was double sealed and both seals were disconnected from the canister. Fill valve was also spraying water from the shaft. Tech recommended performing a complete tank rebuild for the master toilet. Homeowner gave approval for rebuild to be performed. After installation tech filled the tank and made sure all seals were holding strong. Tech flushed toilet a couple times to ensure proper functioning of the fill valve and flush valve. No issues at this time
KSPEHC was called out for multiple plumbing issues in the home. On arrival tech was shown to hallway bathroom first. Homeowner stated the lavatory faucet will continue to drip as well as toilet in same bathroom will constantly fill. Next area of concern was the kitchen faucet. Homeowner states it also has a drip when handle is turned off. At this point tech mentioned this may be a pressure issue since multiple fixtures have leaking taking place. Next area of concern is the master bathroom. Both lavatory sinks have drain issues. Both sinks need ti have pop up assemblies cleaned to allow proper drainage. Toilet in master bathroom has a handle that sticks. At this point tech is not sure if the flapper is getting stuck or if the issue is with the handle only. Tech then checked pressure on the home. Pressure reading was just barely over 80 psi. Tech explained that this is excessive pressure and the regulator needs to be replaced. This is the reason for the failures in multiple fixtur
Fill valve was filling was just slow. Turned up valve to fill faster. Estimate for new fill valve.
